So I guess I finished my BBBB?

The last two or so weeks, I've kind of had a lot going on, and I'd kind of just assumed that I'd end up dropping out of BBBB. And then, because I have these amazingly encouraging and awesome friends, I ended up finishing the first draft just in time. I'm still not exactly sure how that happened, and I'm kind of worried about reopening that word doc tomorrow, because it's probably 99% terrible, but I've got time to fix that, luckily.

Aaaanywho, so yeah, I didn't drop out of BBBB. Because I didn't, I'm going to need to find a beta - I hadn't worried about it before, what with the figuring I'd drop out.

I kind of like my story, too? I mean, not when I'm writing it, but I'm hoping that when it's done it will be mostly not-terrible.

This is kind of rambly and not making sense, but basically thank you lovely people for the encouragement and the yelling and the general awesomeness that convinced me to say screw it, might as well give it my best try. ♥

27, 477 words. This is before my beta gets her hands on it, so it could have some cuts, but really, there's a few scenes, IMHO, that need more not less. Doing a crossover for a BBBB, is almost like writing two BBBBs.

Looking forward to September to read yours - none of your fics have ever dissapointed :D

I wrote on weekends all of June, then summer vacation plus the extension = a fic so long, my beta is freaking out! (She isn't really, not too much - LOL).

That would be awesome! I definitely need some time to make mine, uhm, presentable for anyone's eyes, and probably add about 3-4k to it where I kind of shortened a side plot into summary sentences, but if you wouldn't mind that'd be great =)

Yeah, um, mine thing is mostly capslocked notes to myself about how stupid everything is interspersed with truly dreadful actual story. So no one else is going to see it for at least two revisions, lol.

But whenever you're ready for another pair of eyes let me know!

I actually went ahead and opened it, and some of it I honestly don't remember writing. I think I just blacked out and went into a writing trance or something. (Also, I'm going to have to straight up completely rewrite at least 2k where the writing isn't really decent enough to even be salvageable, so yeah, I feel you.)

LOLLLLL I was skimming through the feed from last night this morning and the desperation was actually kind of hilarious in the light of day.

And yeah, there were parts where I was summarizing a scene to try to get through it, and I was just typing words. It's not pretty. It's really not.

I'm actually working on it right now! It's weird, because there are whole scenes that I don't remember writing, scenes which were evidently the product of caffeine and desperation, so at times it's kind of like reading someone else's work? But yesss, EXCITEMENT! I'm trying to get a draft I'm not ashamed of having other people see done by the end of this weekend, so yeah. =)
